OPSO Holds Community Meeting Tuesday

Orleans Parish Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman (left) and Compliance Director Gary Maynard (right) will update the public on events, accomplishments, and challenges of the last quarter at a community meeting 6 p.m.  Tuesday, June 27 in the Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design (formerly the Tulane Center), 1725 Baronne Street.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office (OPSO) operates the Parish jail facilities, providing for the care, custody and control of incarcerated subjects. The Sheriff’s Office executes all writs, orders, and processes of the Traffic, Municipal and Criminal courts. 

Sheriff Gusman and Compliance Director Maynard will be joined by OPSO officials who will discuss, in detail, jail operations, staff training and employee recruitment.

The meeting will include a question-and-answer period.
