New Orleans Job Corps graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas during the school’s recent annual commencement exercises at Loyola University. It was the Center’s largest graduation with 62 students receiving diplomas.
“Every one of you should seek out someone in your life who motivates and inspires you and encourages you to set big goals,” WGNO-TV’s LeBron “LBJ” Joseph told graduates in his commencement address. “Learning is a lifelong process and there is nothing more valuable than learning from someone who has achieved success.”
Joseph is the co-host of ABC 26’s “News With a Twist” and “The Hometown Morning Show” on KMEZ, Old School 106.7.
This year’s graduates represented New Orleans Job Corps’ six academic trade programs: Culinary Arts, Carpentry, Electrical, CMA (Clinical Medical Assistant), HOT (Health Occupation Technology), and MOS (Medical Office Support).
