Nearly 300 family and friends gathered at the elegant Rhodes Pavilion, a popular reception venue on Washington Avenue, to pay tribute to Carmen Morial on the occasion of her 100th birthday.
Guests traveled from near and from as far away as California and New York to toast the still vibrant and beautiful centenarian.
Aunt Carmen, as she is affectionately known by many, was a long-time respected teacher at Valena C. Jones School, where she touched the lives of thousands of students.
