Spears Group Hires New Senior Account Manager
The Spears Group recently announced the hiring of Deepak Saini as senior account manager, a role in which he will contribute his extensive experience in media, public relations and marketing. As the senior account manager, Saini is responsible for developing integrated PR strategies and overseeing the day-to-day implementation of those campaigns.
A California native, Saini earned a B.A. in broadcast Journalism from San Francisco State University. He spent more than ten years as a news anchor and reporter in several markets including New Orleans, where he worked at local ABC affiliate as a weekend anchor and reporter.
Most recently, Saini served as the communications director at the Louisiana SPCA. In his role, he managed media relations, communications strategy, marketing, social media and more.

SUNO Chancellor Announces Executive Cabinet
Dr. Lisa Mims-Devezin, chancellor of Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) has announced her Executive Cabinet.
The Cabinet members and their titles are: Dr. David Adegboye, vice chancellor for Academic Affairs and Evening & Weekend Affairs/Accreditation Liaison; Wesley Bishop, associate vice chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Donna Grant, vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management; Dr. Brenda W. Jackson, vice chancellor for Research & Strategic Initiatives/Executive Director for Title III Programs; Jullin Renthrope, vice chancellor for Administration and Finance; Gloria B. Moultrie, chief administrative officer for Community Outreach, Alumni Affairs and Public Relations; and Harry J. Doughty, executive associate to the Chancellor.
