From a press release

The New Orleans City Council will hold a second special meeting on tomorrow, Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber (1300 Perdido Street) to receive emergency updates from the Sewerage and Water Board, Army Corps of Engineers, and appropriate administration officials on the recent rain events and flooding. The Council will also vet the administration’s emergency response and initial proposals to rectify the current Sewerage and Water Board crisis and consider ordinances related to the current crisis and flood response.
“The revelations produced by the last special Council meeting were disturbing to say the least,” said Council President Jason Williams. “Though that hearing was able to unveil widespread misrepresentations that had been made by multiple administration officials, it also produced numerous new questions about the overall operation and supervision of the Sewerage and Water Board and Department of Public Works. This Council will exercise its legislative powers and bring these entities back to the table to add clarity to previous misstatements on the public record and provide updates on strategies to address this crisis.”
