Lower 9th Ward Voter’s Coalition announced ‘The Village Call and Voters Information” rally for Saturday, September 16 at 4:30 PM. The rally assembles at the intersection of Caffin and Galvez streets, and will finish at Oliver Bush Park.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet candidates for mayor, city council district E, city council at-large, treasurer and more from the October 14 Primary Elections. Marchers will find out more on registering to vote and where to vote at the following locations: City Hall, Algiers Courthouse, Chef Menteur Voting Machine Warehouse Site and Lake Vista Community Center

The goals of this rally with the Lower 9th Ward Voter’s Coalition aims to ensure the community’s voices are heard; inform the community about candidates and issues on the ballots; keep the community updated on current events and to register ninth ward residents to vote.

Those marching can also bring donations like canned goods, toiletries, and cleaning supplies for Hurricane Harvey victims. The coalition asks to not bring clothing to donate.
