Support the River Road African American Museum as we pay tribute to Hollywood’s Black Stunt Performers on September 23, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place at the luxurious NOPSI Hotel on 17 Baronne Street.
Meet our honorees who are the pioneers in the dangerous business of film, as we take a look back in time at the careers of stunt doubles for Pam Grier, Eddie Murphy, Harry Belafonte, Sidney Portier, Richard Pryor, Mr. T and more.
Did you know proceeds raised at L’Applause goes to support the museum’s collection of African American artifacts and oral histories?
Stunt performer and actor Tony Brubaker is known for his work on Daredevil (2003), Heat (1995) and Back to the Future Part II (1989). Brubaker and Kathe Hambrick met at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D. C. It was during this meeting that Kathe learned Brubaker had Louisiana roots and it now is the perfect time to honor Hollywood’s stunt performers.
If you purchased (4) L’Applause tickets you would be sponsoring a free educational program in the rural community. Tickets are $125.00
