District B encompasses the Irish Channel, Central City and Broadmoor areas, the Garden District and the Carrollton community as well as areas of the CBD.
Five candidates have entered the race to determine who will fill the seat. They are Dryades YMCA School of Commerce Director Jay H. Banks; engineer Eugene Ben-Oluwole; criminal defense attorney and former Orleans Parish School Board member Seth Bloom; veterinarian and bio-medical technologist Dr. Catherine Love; and attorney Timothy David Ray.
