Finalists for the seventh annual Millennial Awards, taking place on Friday, July 26 at the Ace Hotel in New Orleans, have been announced.  The Millennial Awards is a one-of-a-kind event that honors New Orleans’ millennials making significant impacts in the community and setting new standards of excellence in their respective fields. 

The public submitted more than 250 nominations, which were judged by a distinguished panel of professionals including past winners and local business leaders. The awards ceremony will honor individuals in 19 diverse categories, including healthcare, engineering, journalism, film, innovation, music, and new to 2019, the “Female Entrepreneur” category. 

Notable finalists this year include serial entrepreneur Sevetri Wilson, James Beard Award-winning chef Kelly Fields, Split Second Foundation Founder Mark Raymond Jr., lead singer of Tank and the Bangas Tarriona ‘Tank’ Ball, audiologist and CEO of High Level Speech & Hearing Center Dr. Lana Joseph, co-owner of District Donuts Aaron Vogel, founders of Roulaison Distilling Co. Andrew Lohfeld and Patrick Hernandez, WWLTV news anchor Leslie Spoon, and first Poet Laureate of Baton Rouge Christian Davenport a.k.a.
