The New Orleans Children & Youth Planning Board (CYPB) has extended the application deadline for their Youth Advisory Board.
The application will now be open until 11:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, and is open to anyone interested in the power of youth voice.
The Youth Advisory Board to the CYBP will inform and advise CYPB’s planning of services and programs that impact New Orleans children. They will also create and lead the Youth Master Plan – a comprehensive city-wide plan where youth define success, set the standard for outcomes & shape systems change. Youth Advisory Board members as ambassadors of CYPB & representatives of New Orleans youth.
The commitment for serving on the Youth Advisory Board to the CYBP is:
- Serve one year on YAB, with the opportunity to recommit for another year
- Attend regular Saturday convenings every other month in a central location, with additional convenings as necessary
- Transportation & participation stipend provided
- Community service hours available
