Road Improvement Project Underway on West Bank

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works began a major roadway improvement project on the West Bank in early March The $250,000 bond-funded Park Timbers-Tall Timbers Maintenance Project is expected to take two months to complete, weather permitting.
The project will restore pavement on 10 streets and adjust manhole covers to provide a safer and smoother roadway. The following streets will be improved as part of the project: Yellowstone Drive, Park Timbers Drive, Everglades Drive, Yosemite Drive, Olympic Court, Pin Oak Avenue, South Pin Oak Avenue, Post Oak Avenue, North Teak Avenue and Post Oak Avenue.
Work will generally take place 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Questions about this project or the city’s Capital Improvement Program should be directed to 504.658.ROAD (7623) or roadwork@nola.gov.
Through RoadWorkNOLA, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) and Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) are implementing a program to restore damaged infrastructure. Using a combination of local and federal funds, the $2.3 billion program includes nearly 200 individual projects across the city.
