The Fair Grounds Race Course will hold the 107th Louisiana Derby as scheduled, spectator-free, on March 21. Only essential staff, licensed horsemen, and Fair Grounds credentialed media are permitted to attend.

Saturday’s 12-race Louisiana Derby Day card begins at 11 a.m. and will feature eight stakes worth a total of $2.425 million.

The last several races on Saturday’s Fair Grounds’ card, including the Twinspires.com Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) and Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby (G2), will now be broadcast on NBCSN’s simulcast of TVG’s Trackside Live, which will air from 3-7 p.m. CDT (4-8 p.m. EDT) with Britney Eurton as the host. Coverage of the Louisiana Derby will also be streamed live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

The safety and health of the Fair Grounds guests, team members, and the protection of our entire community remains the Fair Grounds primary concern. With a heightened awareness of the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are monitoring the situation with steadfast vigilance thanks to resources provided by the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control as well as public health officials and experts. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at any Fair Grounds facility.
