In partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families and Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen, Ochsner will be providing mobile COVID-19 testing in two locations in District E on Thursday, May 28, and Friday, May 29. 

The testing will reach residents in Venetian Isles and the Little Woods communities.

Total Community Action is also supporting the testing events.

“Total Community Action is honored to have the opportunity to support access to Coronavirus testing for the residents of Little Woods. We have been an active community partner for the past twenty-five years,” said Thelma French, President & CEO of Total Community Action, Inc.

The free testing will be available for anyone over 2 years of age. There will be 300 test kits available per day, and face masks will be distributed on site. 

From 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, testing will take place at the New Orleans Fire Department Station Engine 21, 4300 Alba Rd.

On Friday, May 29, testing will move to the James M Singleton Head Start, 14441 Curran Rd., from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
