Infinite Blessings and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary will host a mass food distribution at 3939 Gentilly Blvd. from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 8. Fourteen hundred grocery bags of food will be given away to families in need.
“With so many people struggling as a result of the pandemic and economic crisis, we must provide for our neighbors in need,” said DeWayne Williams, who founded the nonprofit Infinite Blessings, which has organized weekly meal distributions during the pandemic. “We have a lot of food, so if you’re in need, please come out.”
Anyone in need should drive into the Seminary parking lot (on the Press Dr. side) between 9 a.m. and noon. Volunteers will place food inside vehicles’ trunks.
Those wanting the volunteer are asked to arrive at 7 a.m. and wear a mask.
