Some NOLA Public School students in grades pre-K through 4th grade returned to classrooms this week since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The district is phasing in a return to in-person learning, starting with its youngest students. While virtual learning remains an option for all students, students in 5th through 12th grades are expected to return to classrooms next month.
Drivers can expect to see enforcement of 20 mph school zone speed limits. Motorists are advised to carefully observe posted speed limits and exercise caution in school zones, including no cell phone use, and stopping for children crossing the street.
