New Orleans East Hospital was recently recognized as the recipient of the 2021 “Hospital of the Year (60 beds or fewer)” Nightingale Award from the Louisiana State Nurses Association

“Our leadership team and the Board of Commissioners are extremely proud of our nursing staff at New Orleans East Hospital. It is their dedication to continued education that helps ensure our patients receive the best possible care when they need it most. Their work has contributed to New Orleans East Hospital receiving multiple recognitions from national and state nursing associations throughout the course of this year,” said Dr. Takeisha Davis, president and CEO of New Orleans East Hospital.

New Orleans East Hospital was one of three hospitals throughout the state of Louisiana recognized at this year’s virtual 2021 Nightingale Awards and Gala.

“As we near the end of a consecutively challenging year in healthcare, especially for the nursing profession, it is an incredible honor to receive this award from the Louisiana State Nurses Association,” said C.J. Marbley, RN, chief nursing officer and chief operating officer of New Orleans East Hospital.

New Orleans East Hospital was also recently honored by the American Heart Association with several awards including the Get With the Guidelines Gold Plus Award for the care of stroke patients.
