Cafe Reconcile was recently awarded the Zurich Classic’s 2022 Community Impact Award. Leaders from business, government and philanthropy gathered at the Roosevelt Hotel for Executive Women’s Luncheon where Reconcile Alumna and Board Member, Garryelle Smooth Singleton, and Chief Financial Officer, Kheri Phillip, accepted the award.

Garryelle and Kheri also inspired the audience with their personal stories of hard work, determination, and achievement.

With more than 2000 graduates and 36 employment partners Cafe Reconcile is a culinary workforce development and training program for youth and young adults ages 16 to 24. The paid program blends life and occupational skills classed with hands-on training.

The cafe is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday. Cafe Reconcile customers help train students while supporting the program financially.

The Zurich Community Impact Award will help Reconcile continue to provide free occupational and life skills training, support services, and critical resources to Cafe Reconcile students who are working to overcome hardships.
