Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. High School kicked off the 2022 football season by hosting a one-day football camp on Aug. 8.
Instruction included offensive and defensive position drills, athletic development, and competitive play. They also received their uniforms for this season.
The team was built in 2020 from the ground up by head football coach Joseph Riley, III. In their first, they won the Louisiana High School 3A Division State Championship.
“Just as with anything in life, practice makes perfect. With football it’s all about training harder, playing better, and getting noticed,” says Coach Riley. “My hope is that these young men truly understand that in order to achieve excellence this season, they must put in hard work.”
