JOB1 will host a Workforce Development Expo from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept/ 24 in the gymnasium at Booker T. Washington High School, 1201 S. Roman St.
In honor of National Workforce Development Month, JOB1 wants to connect citizens of New Orleans with local community resource partners, employers, job skills training programs, and more in preparation for the fall season.
Many employers will attend the expo in search of new employees, including NORDC, RTA, LSU Agriculture Center, and more. Training providers such as Nunez Community College, Goodwill Tech College, and BuildStrong Academy will also be available, along with resource partners Total Community Action, Inc. and Youth Empowerment Project (YEP).
In addition to work experience, JOB1 can connect you with work readiness, training and certification programs, business services, youth services, and more.
