Organization will also honor 20 Under 20 young New Orleanians making a difference in the 7th Ward Community

The 7th Ward Neighborhood Association will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with The 7th Ward Ball from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the historic Autocrat Social & Pleasure Club, 1725 St. Bernard Ave.

Tickets are $40 each for members and $50 for the general public.

The 7th Ward Association was founded with the mission to improve the quality of life across the community, to promote active citizenship, and to promote and preserve the art, culture, environment and heritage of one of New Orleans’ most historic neighborhoods.

The 7th Ward Association, in partnership with NewCorp, will honor 20 youth under the age of 20 for the accomplishments and contributions. Nominees must either live in or serve the 7th Ward and can be nominated in the areas of art, sports, education, community service or church. Each young person will receive a $100 award. And nominations are still being actively accepted until Friday, Jan. 13.
